SMALL ACTIONS. BIG IMPACT.
At KCB Bank Tanzania, we believe that sustainable development begins with investing in people.
Today, we strengthened that commitment by donating TZS 20 million to the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI) to support life-saving heart surgeries for children from vulnerable families living with serious cardiac conditions.
Access to quality healthcare is fundamental to building resilient communities and unlocking human potential. By helping remove financial barriers to specialized treatment, this partnership gives children the opportunity to live healthier lives while easing the burden on their families and strengthening the well-being of communities.
Speaking during the handover ceremony on behalf of the Managing Director of KCB Bank Tanzania, Angelina Semiano reaffirmed the Bank's commitment to creating sustainable impact:
"Every child deserves the opportunity to live a healthy and productive life. Our investment goes beyond funding medical procedures, it is an investment in human potential, stronger families and a healthier future for our nation."
This initiative builds on our ongoing partnership with JKCI. Earlier this year, KCB Bank supported the 'Ijue Namba Yako' (Know Your Number) campaign with a contribution of TZS 15 million, promoting cardiovascular health awareness, early screening, and prevention. Together, these initiatives demonstrate our commitment to supporting both preventive healthcare and access to life-saving treatment.
As part of our sustainability agenda, KCB Bank continues to invest in initiatives that create shared value across healthcare, education, enterprise development, environmental stewardship and community well-being. Over the years, the Bank has supported more than 50 healthcare facilities across Tanzania, helping improve access to essential health services where they are needed most.
We believe meaningful progress is achieved through strong partnerships. By working alongside institutions such as JKCI, we are contributing to stronger health systems, more resilient communities and inclusive socio-economic development—creating lasting value for current and future generations.
For People. For Better.
