KCB BANK TANZANIA LAUNCHES “INA-MAKE CENTS” CAMPAIGN TO DRIVE DIGITAL BANKING ADOPTION

KCB Bank Tanzania has officially launched the “INA-MAKE CENTS” campaign, a three-month initiative aimed at promoting smarter financial habits while encouraging customers to experience the convenience and value of banking through the KCB Mobile App.

The campaign uses relatable everyday financial habits and light-hearted storytelling to encourage Tanzanians to rethink how they manage and transact with their money. At the same time, it showcases the ease, flexibility, and benefits of digital banking.

As part of the campaign, customers who download the KCB Mobile App and open an account digitally during the campaign period will receive an initial balance that can be used for everyday transactions such as paying bills, purchasing airtime, or sending money to family and friends. These accounts also come with zero monthly fees, making digital banking even more accessible.

Speaking during the launch, Josina Njambi, Head of Digital Financial Services, emphasized the importance of making digital banking a part of customers' daily lives.

“During the campaign period, customers who download the KCB Mobile App and open an account digitally will receive an initial balance to get them started. Our digitally opened accounts also have zero monthly fees, giving customers even more reason to experience the convenience of banking through the app.”

The KCB Mobile App enables customers to access a wide range of banking services anytime and anywhere, including bill payments, airtime purchases, money transfers, investments, and other day-to-day financial transactions securely and conveniently.

Speaking on behalf of the Managing Director, Gabriel Lekundayo reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to investing in digital solutions that make banking simpler, more accessible, and more relevant to customers' evolving needs, while also supporting Tanzania’s financial inclusion agenda.

“INA-MAKE CENTS is about more than introducing customers to an app. It is about encouraging a shift in how we think about and use our money. We want customers to experience the convenience of making payments directly through the KCB Mobile App and embracing digital banking as part of everyday life.”

The Campaign is designed to encourage customers to actively experience the platform and digital banking solutions
